Trail Buddy is a GPS location tracking application designed for walking, hiking or biking. It is also suitable for geocaching and other activities that benefit from GPS and mapping. Trail Buddy supports setting and locating waypoints, which you can pre-set or mark with the current location along a trail. Photos are now a first-class feature of waypoints.

Trail Buddy is now completely FREE – no trial mode and no advertising!

    Great app when it works.

We are using the app for hiking and have found it is very accurate, even in areas far off major roads. It's good.

    Not very accurate.

Would not actively show my position. Was about 1-2 city blocks off. Not very good. Walked for 2 miles and the app indicated 293 yards.

Easy to use, simple, yet does all the basic things I want from a trail tracking app.

Sucks. Couldn't find me on a trail. What good is a trail app that cannot use the phone's GPS for location?

Handy application for hikes or walking around the neighborhood. Waypoints are useful as is lat/long/altitude and elapsed time/distance traveled. I like the map view!
