    Completely sucks... The quality suck... Skype has sooo many problems and the sad part is that its the only thing that Microsoft had to offer.. I regret getting the Windows phone

    The problem with skype is file transfers don't exist as of yet. Skype for iphone and android rock, but for windows8 you can do video and calling. I have a skype out number and when someone calls me on my win8 phone lumia 920 it goes to voicemail. it is always stuck in resuming mode. Micro$oft needs to have these apps work in the background smoothly. I think if they have the top 5-7 apps that a user can define to run in the background would be better. i.e email / whatsapp/ viber / tango / line /wechat, all of the messaging apps need to run in the background along with skype. my 2cents worth. I use my lumia 920 without a sim card, i let it talk to my myfi unit so where ever i am it works really good it's a bitter better on battery life too for all day talking from skype.

    Works very well when app is launched-- making and receiving calls. Had big problems with Skype notifications until I uninstalled it (and Lync), rebooted the pho e, then reinstalled Skype (followed by Lync)-- now I can receive calls/messages without having to start Skype first. Wish it would resume faster.

    Good app, but would be much more user friendly if it had the landscape view, it is much easier to type that way
