Plex for Windows Phone brings the power of Plex to your mobile device. With Plex, you can stream your music, videos and photos from your home computers running Plex Media Server (available from http://www.plexapp.com/getplex/) and access content from a wide range of channels. Channels are available for iTunes, and for online services like YouTube, Vimeo and Revision3. There's also a remote control feature for Plex Media Center. Additionally, you can sign up for the myPlex service, which lets you connect to servers shared with you by your friends, queue videos from your web browser to watch later, and connect to your Plex Media Server at home wherever you are in the world via Wi-Fi or a cellular connection, with no configuration necessary! Plex Media Server streams your media directly from your computer, so there's no need to convert before viewing. Plex is smart, too - if your media isn't already in a format your device can play, it'll convert it on-the-fly. The trial version limits video playback to 30 seconds, but otherwise is fully functional. Limitations: • DRM-protected content is not supported. • ISO images are not supported. • VIDEO_TS folders are not supported. • PGS subtitles are not supported. • Audio formats Windows Phone can't play natively (e.g. FLAC) are not supported. Server Requirements: • A PC running Windows XP SP3 or later (Windows Vista or Windows 7 recommended), a Mac running OS X 10.6 or later, or an Intel machine running Linux. • In order to transcode to 480p, you need at least a 2.2GHz Core 2 Duo processor. ★★★ NOTE: YOU MUST HAVE PLEX MEDIA SERVER INSTALLED AND RUNNING TO STREAM LOCAL MEDIA. VERSION 0.9.6 OR HIGHER IS REQUIRED TO SUPPORT PLEX FOR WINDOWS PHONE. http://www.plexapp.com/getplex/ ★★★ A full description of the changes in each release is available at http://bit.ly/HgRvJy.

5/20/2013This was working wonderfully on my Lumia 900 until I accepted the upgrades to the phone last week. Since then, I can only connect to my library when in my home connected to the server via Wi-Fi.

5/19/2013Fails to load any thumbnails, totally unpolished UI.

5/18/2013Works intermittently; too much so for an app that has a $4.99 price tag. The developers at Plex need to pull their collective heads out of the sand and spin up an updated version. Sooner rather than later.

5/8/2013Main issue is latency. On local LAN video and audio are out of sync.

5/8/2013Running against my Win server is perfect functional, but against my QNAP arm is functional very randomly.

4/26/2013Over the last several months this app has gone from mediocre to useless on my Lumia 920. As a PlexPass subscriber I'd really like to see a better app for WP8. I've used almost every other Plex app out there and this is the only one that almost never works even when connected to the local network. Plex is way better than this app and it is a crying shame that anyone who is just being introduced to it will shrug Plex off as a **** service just because of this version.

4/23/2013Sucks, I've spent hours trying to configure, UNINSTALLING. Don't buy, waste of money.

4/23/2013Where are the subtitles on the devices that are been broadcasting?

4/19/2013One year no updates on a v1 app, suxs. Um can we get an update or refund, either way.
