First off I want to give kudos to Navigon for their commitment to the Windows Phone OS. They have put out 2 updates now since WP8 came out. The WP8 OS is wide open for a GPS leader because neither HTC nor Samsung offer anything, Microsoft offers us nothing pre-installed other than a direction list, and Nokia Drive is still in beta and is getting plenty of complaints.
This app will get you where you want to go, but the $30 is not justified. First off, you don't get lifetime maps. Second, there's not even a turn-by-turn direction list you can pull up (shouldn't this come standard with ALL GPS apps?). That is inexcusable. Third, getting around inside the app is less than intuitive (e.g. no "stop" button). Fourth, the app doesn't run in the background. You can't simultaneously use the search functions and navigate either. There's a warning screen you have to press "ok" to every time you open the app (annoying). Tons of potential here, but doesn't justify the price yet. Keep hitting us with those updates!

Can you please make this app hook into WP8 "Drive" contract, so that when I find a location on Bing maps, I can send it to this app and immediately start navigation.

Can't play music and receive voice directions at the same time. Should be a setting to either lower volume of background music or pause audio for podcasts.

Does not integrate properly with WP8. Can't be used to "navigate to" from other apps, such as Local Scout. This is a major shortcoming for me, as I like to search on Bing maps for a location first.

Best update by far. All that is missing now is background multitask enabled for wp8. Its still has the w7.5 multitask. Other than that its the best nav app out there. Thanks for the dedication put in this OS!!!!!

Much better with the new update

I've tried to make it work for several months now but it crashes 70+% of the time I use it. I've got an HD7.

Looks like I overlooked the deep linking my bad

Good app. Sometimes, it takes a while to pick up GPS signal though. I hope address entry was all in one line instead of street,city,number,etc...

No spoken street names in the WP8 version. Pls fix it.
