    About time!!

Not bad. Maybe a future version could integrate with the remote desktop app?

Love this. Takes a little tweaking to get things just right. Just wish I could clear the 'recent' list.

Overall design I like, poor performance. I have a large music repository, this app and web remote access can't handle it. Built in media streaming need more work done. Still, performance is a bit better in R2 with HTML5 vs Silverlight

Works but needs work. When streaming music you can't leave the app to do other things like answer a text or phone call plus playback isn't seamless. They should add folder view. Not that big a deal since for music I use Silver Sonic which works with my Subsonic server.

It doesn't appear as if this app supports caching. As a result loading media to stream takes forever because you have to wait for the list to load each time. If you have anymore then a few dozen of anything (videos, music, pictures) then the streaming features will be insufficient. The alerts and live tile work well. You can attempt repair for problems on your server from the spp which is great. It lets users browse files from areas you don't have access to but won't let you download (thankfully). Possibly a permissions problem on my server or the app. The features are really nice, but the streaming severely hampered. Unfortunately for many streaming is a core function of the server essentials experience and they will be left wanting.

    Well done Microsoft

Works great, but I wish there was an option to integrate it like SkyDrive so that instead of uploading to SkyDrive pictures, you could just upload direct to your private cloud. Also add a option for integration in the office hub please and the entire windows phone. Also add a way to upload to your server like SkyDrive on your PC at home without having to connect to your vpn

Well done! It actually works. I look forward to an updated Windows Store app.

Recently upgraded to Server 2012 R2 Essentials and noticed mobile app stopped working. Microsoft released this updated app which corrected the issue and works beautifully. Thank you Microsoft for quick development and release. Love the Microsoft ecosystem!
