My Data Speed is a handy tool that does two things: it first detects and displays current data connection type, i.e. 3G or Wireless. Then it fires 3G or Wireless speed test against popular DSLReports web site to measure latency tests and download speed.

Is this a data speed test or a DMV mobile eye exam? Seriously, if I could read more than something about a "Latency Test" in the first line of the app's only screen, I might buy it. On the other hand, had I even a vague idea of how that might effect how fast I can download Jonny Lang to Favorites I probably wouldn't need to. p.s.: If decades of lazy dads' DYI disasters had not already convinced us, this app ends the debate that Mom was right, as usual, wood paneling is no substitute for decent wallpaper or a fresh coat of paint. 😁

    Very good

Not at all accurate. My home internet is 16 Mbps and consistently tests that high with other apps. This app tests no higher than 2300 kbps ever on wifi and never higher than 1400 kbps on 3G (on hspa+ phone).

It seems forgotten about. Can't use it as it is.

Really doesn't give much information. Bad design.

Nice idea but display is so dim you can't read it! So what good is it?

Just a link to a webpage, would rather do that native.
