Microsoft Azure Multi-Factor Authentication helps secure access to your business and personal accounts by verifying account sign-ins using this convenient app. The Multi-Factor Authentication app, formerly named PhoneFactor, will notify you of a pending verification request by pushing an alert to your mobile device. Simply view the request in the app and tap to verify or cancel. Alternately, you could be prompted by the application you are accessing to enter a passcode displayed in the app.

Getting Started: You will receive instructions, which contain either an activation code and URL or a QR code, from the company that has enabled Multi-Factor Authentication for your account. Enter this information into the app or scan the QR code. You can activate multiple companies and accounts.

IMPORTANT: THIS SOFTWARE REQUIRES CONNECTIVITY TO AN ACTIVE MICROSOFT AZURE MULTI-FACTOR AUTHENTICATION SERVICE AND WILL NOT WORK WITHOUT IT. IF YOU HAVE QUESTIONS ABOUT ACTIVATING AND USING THIS APP, PLEASE CONTACT THE ORGANIZATION THAT MANAGES AN APPLICABLE ACCOUNT THAT USES MICROSOFT AZURE MULTI-FACTOR AUTHENTICATION.

How to use this app? Where to get the code from? Where to scan a code? No guidance

Works well for those office 365 and azure apps/services that support MFA.

This app is unreliable. I can't even activate my device.

Please add 'copy' to the tap&hold menu! Could also benefit from speed optimization... But the app does what it should.

The keypad for typing in your pin needs to have the standard phone lettering (eg ABC on 2) for alpha-based pins.

    Bug with notifications
  • by Craig 2/19/2015
Not a great app, has been unreliable and shows the pin in plain text.

Broken. Setting push notifications doesn't work, and blocks all other functionality.

Does what is should. Although it does show pin in clear text.
