Microsoft Tag is now built into Bing’s new Windows Phone 7.5 Visual Search functionality. Scan both Tag barcodes and QR Codes using Bing Visual Search. Simply tap Search to launch Bing, then press the Vision search icon from the app bar. Hover the viewfinder over your Tag barcode or QR Code and your item will be scanned.
1/28/2015Useless with Cortana, its not work with cortana.
1/10/2015doesn't work, add tag to 8.1
1/1/2015Says it's built in to Bing, but it's not since WP 8.1 and Cortana.
12/7/2014Useless on 8.1
11/16/2014Not present on 8.1
11/11/2014I just had to get a new phone. I had an HTC Windows phone. Now I have a Nokia. The HTC had the barcode scanner, but not the Nokia. I thought by getting the up it would install it. I was sadly mistaken.
10/31/2014Yeah I would love it if Cortana could also be the scanner like what was in Bing search in wp8. Wp8.1 seems to have lost the barcode scanner.
10/29/2014To everyone who is saying this sucks: This was last updated in 2011 for phones running 7.5. In 8.1, you can still get to Bing vision by using lenses in the camera app, it's just not by using the search button anymore.
