Solitaire remains the most-played computer game of all time, and for good reason. Simple rules and straightforward gameplay make it easy to pick up for anyone. Just focus on clearing out of the cards from the table, or try to increase your score to rival your friends.

Solitaire has been part of Windows for more than 20 years, and The Microsoft Solitaire Collection makes it the best experience to date with five different card games in one:

Klondike
This version is the timeless classic that many people just call "Solitaire". Try to clear all the cards from the table using traditional scoring or the popular Vegas scoring system.

FreeCell
Use four extra cells to move cards around as you try to clear all cards from the table. More strategic than the Klondike version, FreeCell rewards players who think several moves ahead.

Spider
Eight columns of cards await your attempts to clear them with the fewest moves possible. Start out playing with a single suit until you’re comfortable, and then see how you fare when using two or even all four suits in a game.

TriPeaks
Select cards in a sequence, either up or down, to earn points. How many boards can you clear before you run out of deals?

Pyramid
Pair two cards that add up to 13 in order to clear them. Try to reach the top of the pyramid. See how high you score in this deceptively simple and highly addictive card game that continues to increase in popularity!

Xbox Integration
Log in with your Xbox account to earn achievements, compete with your friends, submit your scores to the leaderboards, and track your personal gameplay statistics. Microsoft Solitaire Collection's new Play, Pause, Resume feature lets you pause your game, and resume it on any compatible device — all without missing a beat!

Solid solitaire game but a bit slow to start a new game and sucks up way too much battery for a solitaire game.

Release high-end Windows phones for T-Mobile!

It would be great if the settings would save but it doesn't at all. Otherwise it would be a great game. Please try to fix the issues.

    Good card games

I would rate it five stars if it didn't ravage my battery.

As you note, Solitaire has been part of Windows for over 20 years. I would say that today's Nokia Lumia Icon is like a supercomputer compared to the devices of 20 years ago. Why, then, does this game tax and drain the phone as if we're calculating the final value of Pi, or determining the state of every particle in the universe? Is modern Solitaire really so processor-intensive? Is my phone working so hard to move cards on the screen that it literally can't be bothered to remember my preferences? Please, please, please, fix this app so that we can waste a few minutes playing solitaire without worrying that a) our phone is going to catch on fire, and b) we're going to run out of battery before we can get out of the bathroom.

Great Solitaire game! Best one available, period!

Timer should stop when game is solved!!! Not fair to count stacking all the cards at top in time count. When it's solved it's solved. Period.

I like the choices that are available and works well. However, would give five stars if it would remember my settings from play to play. Annoying to have to keep "fixing" the settings each time I load.
