Bring back the first party Bing Maps app to your Nokia Lumia! This is a launcher for Windows Phone stock Maps app. Why do we need this? That's because Nokia removes the Bing Maps launcher from all Lumia phones and replaces it with the HERE Maps app. This app will get us back the Microsoft designed Maps app with the stock Maps icon. NOTE: This is just a launcher app which kills itself as soon as the native Bing Maps interface is launched. Nothing more. Also, Bing Maps still uses Nokia Map data. The sole purpose of this app is just to give you an experience as close as possible to the Map app experience from WP7.
10/15/2014Why is this on my phone twice?
10/6/2014Stopped working after months if working. I do not know what happened. I don't know if Microsoft or Verizon blocked it or what. Up until that point, it was fine except for one important function was missing. There was no "save to favorites" option and no favorites list.
9/28/2014Mi ubicación no es exacta, los mapas se ven mal , las calles no coinciden :/
9/6/2014Awesome but no longer needed in 8.1
8/28/2014I like the way it works on my computer 💻 hopefully it will be the same
8/26/2014Was great until the latest update. PUT THE EXIT NUMBERS IN THE DIRECTIONS MICROSOFT. "take the exit" "leave the highway in 2.4 miles" !?!?!?!?!?!?
8/22/2014Just a bunch more often than in other word and I am cool cause of the population were living room with a single person
8/19/2014Bravo. Works perfect and allows you to use the far better native map application.
8/17/2014The actual program runs and functions as advertised. That said, be aware that you are DOWNGRADING from a previously superb product. What is ACTUALLY installed is still HERE maps garbage Nokia code that is grafted to the superb Bing map engine. I have had this app repeatedly issue bad instructions that cost time in trying to find the actual target. I thought I was 'imagining' the difference until we observed my wife's WP7 phone was bringing down different instructions from Bing than my Nokia 1520 phone was. I am not sure whether the queries are flawed or it is just sloppy coding. Whatever the problem is, I can verify it is serious and irritating. I know, through side by side comparison, the WP7 maps version was FAR superior to this bloatware. I don't need a GPS to get bad instructions and go around in circles. Microsoft, I am begging you to bring back the original WP7 app and make my phone useful for mapping once again... Frustrated in San Diego.
