Want Bing Maps back on your phone? Install this simple shortcut which launches the native Bing Maps interface on your phone. Why do you need this? Because sometimes it’s just quicker to use the native interface to see where you are or check out the traffic around you. NOTE: This is just a launcher app which kills itself as soon as the native Bing Maps interface is launched. Nothing more. Also, Bing Maps still uses Nokia Map data. The sole purpose of this app is just to give you an experience as close as possible to the Map app experience from WP7.
10/7/2013Too sad that it use Nokia maps same as here maps, not Bing maps. I can launch the same maps app by scout button in search page then this were no need for me at all. I know this not developer fault. It maybe Nokia or Microsoft but I need Bing maps that have detail in Japan area. Nokia maps have nothing in Japan area.
9/28/2013Err merrrrr gerrrrddd
9/19/2013Sucks in roral areas
9/18/2013Easy to use and database has been accurate
9/15/2013I was surprised to find out that Nokia 920 does not include the Maps App and I have to use this as a shortcut to access the native App. I guess since Microsoft has acquired Nokia, then we should have the original app back on the list of native Windows 8 apps.
9/14/2013Same as wp7. Love it.
9/12/2013Never thought I'd need the old Bing Maps with the Here Maps on my phone, but there's instances where Bing Maps works better and is just plain faster than Here Maps!
9/12/2013Good map but I don't get the point if you have here maps it's the same. And the here map and here drive function perfect together!
