Bring back the first party Bing Maps app to your Nokia Lumia! This is a launcher for Windows Phone stock Maps app. Why do we need this? That's because Nokia removes the Bing Maps launcher from all Lumia phones and replaces it with the HERE Maps app.

This app will get us back the Microsoft designed Maps app with the stock Maps icon. All Nokia Lumia users will be very happy about this!

GPS should have voice directions. It is dangerous to have to look at the screen while driving in order to know which direction to turn, and so on. It should also have default destinations, such as "Home" or "Work."

This app is better than HERE. I've used it in the past and is more accurate. Not sure why Microsoft changed it. HERE has wrong navigation information and frustrated me many times. In addition, it includes freeway names, not numbers, which is very confusing in California.

This application does what it says and brings up the native Map app. After the WP 8.1 upgrade, the native Map icon was added back so this app is no longer needed. However, the native application was downgraded to the Here Maps engine. Bing maps is completely gone from the phone. If you go to a place like Japan that is not supported by Here Maps and compare it to Bing maps on the Bing website, there is a night and day difference. The native WP8.1 app completely blows chunks now. I rated this a one star because it does not bring back Bing maps, it only brought back access to the native map app installed as part of windows phone 8.1. Unfortunately MSFT borked this by removing the WP7 map app and remapped it to the Here Maps app. It is worthless in unsupported regions of the world and while it looks nice in supported regions, the directions it gives isn't as accurate as Bing maps on the website. Good thing I don't blindly follow the navigation and still use my brain.
