Had this app on WP8 and it was very good. Now on WP8.1 it is awful. Whenever I open it the speech accessibility is on and it forces you to work as if you have accessibility issues, which fortunately I do not. App is almost useless.

For now, this release has some issues, IM delays (30-60 minutes), once you receive a new IM, you have to log out and back in to view, very irritating

Overall pretty good app. The UI is nice, and it works ok. But the app is so slow it's practically worthless. If you can handle waiting several minutes for a conversation to load, then this app is for you.

Works just ok. I am a Lync administrator and this app causes me a lot of pain. If you have Lync desktop client logged in it will steal any new IMs from this app if you miss the toast. Log out of desktop client and this app works much better. Hopefully the Lync push notification requirement from the server is removed soon like it was for iOS. In the end this app seems to suffer because the way apps work in the background in WP8.

This app needs to be started over from scratch with a user centric mobile design. It's a poster child for lazy UI design on WP. Horrid UI. Broken features (groups not consistent between desktop and mobile and many other things) and the overall OS integration is terrible. Slow to switch to and back. On a 1520! I hardly ever use it because of all the broken stuff. Joining conference bridges on the go is about all it is useful for to me. I don't even use it for IM because it is so painful except emergencies. Great mobile experiences are not copies of desktop UIs, especially when they are bad. This does not seamlessly extend my desktop use to mobile.

I second all the reviews about the failing notifications. I almost always cannot open a conversation from a notification, especially if you already have a conversation going with the person involved. Makes me actually scream at my device sometimes. Really live Lync but this is awful. Counter productive...

Doesn't work. I get notification of someone messaging me via the toaster popup, so I tap it. It makes me wait a couple of minutes, at which point, I am notified that it couldn't start the conversation. I have no debug options and mo settings could be tweaked to fix it. Not useful at all!

Unstable, frequently drops messages, has overall had a negative impact on my use of Lync as a way to actively stay in contact for urgent issues since I may not ever get an urgent message
