Key features: • View shared meeting content during a conference, on your mobile device • Initiate a group conversation (IM or video) or invite additional participants • Join, rejoin, and initiate a Lync Meeting to communicate and collaborate amazing ideas • Control the meeting (mute or remove attendees) • Transfer your calls to another phone number or another contact • Pick up your conversations from the point where you ended them last • Join (and enjoy) a Lync Meeting even if you don’t have a Lync account • Enhanced security with Lync certificate and passive authentication Anyone can use the Lync Mobile app when invited to a Lync 2013 meeting. However, you must have a Lync account in order to use (and enjoy) the full capability of the Lync Mobile app. Also, some functionality might require an update to Lync Server or might not be available to all users. If you’re not sure about your account status, please contact your IT department. IMPORTANT: THIS SOFTWARE REQUIRES CONNECTIVITY TO VALIDLY LICENSED COPIES OF MICROSOFT LYNC SERVER OR OFFICE 365 / LYNC ONLINE AND WILL NOT WORK WITHOUT IT. UPDATES TO MICROSOFT LYNC SERVER MAY BE REQUIRED FOR PROPER PERFORMANCE. SOME FUNCTIONALITY MAY NOT BE AVAILABLE IN ALL COUNTRIES. IF YOU ARE UNSURE ABOUT YOUR COMPANY’S LICENSE TO AND/OR DEPLOYMENT OF LYNC, PLEASE CONTACT YOUR IT DEPARTMENT. What’s new in version 5.6: • Voice Settings – The new Cellular option for Lync calls lets you make and receive calls over your cellular network when you believe it’s a better choice than wireless or your data network.
12/19/2014If I won't open the message from notification the message is lost. I won't be able to find it in "conversation" section if I go straight to the app. Sync is very bad. I receive the messages after a long delay (even hours) and sometimes I don't receive then at all. Because of that it's unreliable... Yesterday I wasn't able to read important messages from my manager because of the first bug. And I had to ask him to send them again after I sat in front of my desktop with the desktop version of Lync.
12/14/2014Great for work
12/13/2014It needs to be integrated into the in-built Office suite
12/12/2014Microsoft can do better than this!! Instead of adding new features, first work to make sure what you have works . Longtime issue: When a Lync message is received in the action center and you attempt to click on the message to jump to Lync, app freezes with the message - conversation starting.... But it never opens. Please fix it.
12/12/2014This app is so unreliable. Whenever I chase a toast, it will almost always fail to load the message. This is completely unacceptable.
12/11/2014Works great, only flaw is IMs go missing if phone is locked during notification.
12/11/2014Love the app on desktop, and this one is okay. I'd love to be able to laugh the app faster after receiving a message notification.
12/11/2014Terrible "syncing" ship to be abandoned by M$ soon... Receive IM. See Toast. Tap toast. Wait full minute. Conversation can't be opened. Same scenario, but miss toast and instead at later time tap notification in notification center and get same result. As others have said, messages show up hours late after being seen on other devices. Doesn't sync conversations. You know what does sync conversations across devices really well? SKYPE DOES. GUESS WHATS GETTING REPLACED BY SKYPE? LYNC IS. Don't expect this app to get fixed, with "Skype for Business" slated to be replacing Lync in the future.
12/8/2014Unreliable and frustrating. Oddly the 2010 client is better.
12/6/2014Impossible to open conversation from a notification. Or simply check conversation status that never uploads, no matter if in Wi-Fi or not.
