Why it does not receive messages when app is not running?

Stopped working. Says that I have to update application or contact system administrator. At the same time lync applications for iPad and Android are working fine.

Office 365 and Lync are an incredibly valuable business tool. Our IT expenses supporting our infrastructure are $0. Go Microsoft!

Good app, but I can't get it work with my company server. Maybe I don't know the settings or I can't access the Lync server outside my company network.
