Over the last couple of months, Belledonne Communications was contacted by a large number of users and clients requesting Linphone's Windows Phone 8 support. After months of development and hard work, Belledonne Communications is happy to announce that is is launching today Linphone for this promising mobile operating system.

Like the audio versions of Linphone on Android and iOS, the first release of Linphone for Windows Phone 8 is also based on the Liblinphone VoIP engine SDK.

This first release of Linphone for Windows Phone 8 includes the following features:
Audio incoming calls in background mode using push notifications (only for sip.linphone.org accounts)
    Audio outgoing calls
    SIP transports: UDP, TCP, TLS
    Call history and statistics
    Pause, resume, mute, speaker
    Echo cancellation
    Chat (text and images)
    Phone contacts integration
ICE and STUN firewall policies available
    SRTP encryption available

To enjoy the best experience with Linphone WP8, we recommend that you use the SIP service available for free at www.linphone.org/eng/linphone/register-a-linphone-account.html. This service, provided by Belledonne Communications, supports many exciting features including push-notified incoming calls.

The last update fixes some crashes and add STUN/ICE as available firewall policy.
You can also set a auth userid different from your account (needed for some SIP servers).
Finally, compatibility with SIP servers has been improved ("no auth info found" issue fixed).
- Stability improvements
- Improved incall view
- Improved chat view
- Landscape view while incall
- Bluetooth audio route available
- Chat image transfer is temporarily disabled, will come back soon
- Video button has been added but is disabled for now, video calls will come later

I'm facing an issue about Dialog [] was not ACK'd within T1*64 due to Method not allowed for ACK while incoming call now. So, I park an incoming call within 30 seconds once and just pick it up again in Linphone. Then the push notification feature works perfectly w/ my Asterisk server by app-id and pn-tok. It's troublesome a little bits, but I love it. =)

Even push notifications are working with my own SIP server. Awesome!

Good progress, small irritants for example phone contacts used inside app loose the + from the stored number, so before dialing edit the number

    Great app!

Latest update renders app useless. auto fills proxy and fails on registration. Using on 3CX system. Does not run in background. Echo on all calls regardless of echo test and other config options.

Not bad, but needs working on. Some times hangs. Please add abiliti to store several accounts and to switch between then. Thanks a lot! Continue working to make it better!

Working with our company VoIP, great to have this software on WP! There is room for improvement in CPU usage and Codec prioritisation, though. Also, you need to manually add + before the phone number in order to make the call. When you close the app via task manager, app loses all of the configuration.

Great for outgoing calls, not so much for incoming calls from servers without push notifications. Guess that's a Windows Phone issue though.
