Grocery Total is a small program to help you add up your grocery bill (including tax) to help those on tight budget or make sure the store does not have any errors (missing sales price in database, etc). Uses Metro theme styling. You can quickly change tax for different items (typically, tax for food is different from alcohol and tobacco). Quickly input your tax rate and it is saved. If you decide to put back and item you can remove it as well. Keeps a list of items, its cost and tax, as well as the total tax to see just how much you are paying in taxes.

Also include a compare utility, to allow you to compare the cost of two different items at different amounts. Such as comparing a box of cereal that is $3.99 for 16 Oz vs $4.29 for 18 Oz, to help you get the best deal!


Update (V 2.0): Added produce calculator and x for y calculator (for when the prices are labeled 3 for $7, etc).

    I like this app, but would love it more if it knew what to tax and what not to. I mean I would give another star for that and I would give another star if it scanned and told me what it was instead of just item numbers.

    I like the app but it sure would be nice to just scan the bar code as you add items just like they do at the registers - Hope you get inspired.

    Terrible! It lets you input the price and tax in a shaded box but it does not give you a box to put in 'how many' you are buying! DB
