Install and share your location in real-time with others in seconds! No sign-up, no passwords, no new social network to manage.
 
Glympse sends a link with your ongoing location to anyone via email or text message. Best of all, the recipient doesn't need any special software to be able to see your location. They get a link that shows your real-time position, and optionally your speed, a message, a destination, and your ETA. And, Glympse makes it hassle-free by only sharing your location for the time period you choose, and then it automatically stops.

The latest Glympse updates for Mango allow for Fast App Switching and creating Favorite Tiles on your Start page. Unfortunately, the WP7 Mango update does not allow applications to utilize real-time location sharing in the background unless you screen-lock while running Glympse.

Current limitations for the Windows Phone 7 version of Glympse:
- Glympse cannot share your location in the background, but it can continue to send your location under a locked screen. Please see the Preferences screen under Settings for the option to enable this feature.
- SMS invites are delivered from a Glympse number and can only be sent to numbers located in the domestic United States. 
- There is no automatic way to launch the Glympse app from a web link/url.
- If you would like to view a received Glympse in the app, you will need to cut/paste the entire invite URL (http://glympse.com/ABC-123) or code (i.e., ABC-123) into the text box found in the "View a Glympse" page.

    Glad it works, but get with it and update the app and bring feature parity to WP8. iOS is so far ahead. Get us the right experience for WP8.

    Glympse is easily one of the Best Location Sharing Apps Available, and by far my Favorite. A Simple and Clean Interface, Multi OS Accessibility, Unique Functions, and User Friendliness makes this App stand out from all the rest. However I Rated Glympse 3/5 due to Missing Features that should've been Implemented in the Beginning. Although for some Lack Of Features it's more Windows Phone Limitations at Fault not Glympse. But the Same cannot be said for the Lack of Updates, iOS and Android both have New Versions of Glympse but WinMo is left behind. Yet, Even with an Older Version, I Highly Recommend D/L Glympse. The App has Huge Potential and Deserves a 5/5 Rating, so Hopefully the Developers give WinMo Users a Much Needed Update and Windows Phone 8 Compatibility. Projekt

    No background operations and US SMS service limited. I'll love to see this application running like an android and iOS, could be the best with PoepleHub integrated.

    Awesome app. You can have it run in the background for wp8 by going into the settings. Good for keeping family and others informed on where you are when making trips.

    Doesn't work on my HTC 8x. Hopefully it's user error. The location never gets updated after sending my glympse. BTW, the app UI and branding look nothing like iOS and Android Glympse. I almost thought this was a fake glympse app until I verified it on glympse.com. Hope branding will improve.

    Great app - I use it daily. I wished the Windows Phone version had the same level of features and functionality as the Apple version.

    Works flawlessly.. My gf has iPhone and I use Lumia 820.. And we both see each other moving on the same Glympse.. Updates speed and distance accurately with no lag for me. Both mine and hers.
