Fretter is a advanced chordfinder for guitar, banjo and ukulele. It generates diagrams for all possible chord variations and also has a reverse lookup function. It doesn't use a database, but knows it's musictheory, so different tunings are not a problem! You can browse the diagrams, hear how they sound, see which notes are played where, see the intervals etc. Free version has limited chordtypes, but all instruments and tunings and functionality. Feature list: * Support for Guitar, 4,5-string Banjo, Ukulele * 50+ chordtypes * Tunings: 75+ predefined, custom * Added bassnote (C/D) * Reverse lookup * Full Inversions * Chord Intervals * Note Names * Hear how every diagram sounds
5/22/2013Would love more/custom uke tunings, but otherwise this is a great app.
4/20/2013The chord type list in the advanced chord finder sometimes crashes as I scroll through it on my HTC Windows 8X. Other than that the app is perfect for my needs, particularly finding uncommon jazz chords.
4/2/2013Trial doesn't look up chords by name, so can't evaluate that, but it should. The "reverse" lookup is poor for ukuleles. It doesn't recognize xxx3 as C chord, and thinks G7 (x212) is Bdim (which is played as 1212 per other charts). Might be okay for guitars, but not for ukes.
11/17/2012Very good app!
10/19/2012Awesome, although custom tunings for uke would be nice
8/3/2012Simple to use interface, although I feel like there might be an easier way to employ the reverse chord finder. Presents the chords listed and finger variations in a clear and easy to understand manner. However, this app lacks some of the more complex chords such as 13ths, diminished, and minor 6ths. I use a lot of those kinds of chords, so without them I can't commit to a purchase. With those and other similar jazz type chords, this app would completely outclass everything else.
5/8/2012This app is awesome. The reverse chord finder makes it incredibly easy to distinguish those adverse chords that are so intricate, and really saves time when dealing with notation. A must have for guitarists interested in expanding their chordal foundations.
3/6/2012very straightforward interface -- love the reverse lookup layout and function. Alternate tunings are extensive, and probably more than I'll ever use.
1/24/2012I think this is an excellent app. The only issue I have is that I cannot get the full version, I still have the trial version. I can't seem to find it anywhere, does it still exist? Someone tell me if this app is still available or not.
