View temperature, 24 hour snowfall, and total snow base data updated hourly for your favorite Pacific Northwest ski areas. For each resort, you can also view webcams, three day NOAA forecast with weather icons, and useful weather-related links. Open the menu at the bottom of the home screen for lots of options including metric. You can also pin multiple live tiles for your favorite resorts to the home screen and you'll get updated temp, 24 hour snowfall, and total snow base data along with a web cam image! You can also enable news alert notifications which will arrive even when the app is not running. Live tiles flip to show the forecast on the back side of the tile. Resorts included in the app are: Whistler Blackcomb, Mt. Baker, Hurricane Ridge, Stevens Pass, Summit at Snoqualmie and Alpental, Mission Ridge, Crystal Mt., White Pass, Mt. Hood Meadows, Mt. Hood Ski Bowl, and Timberline Note that this app will NOT be expanding to include national resorts because it uses the Northwest Avalanche Center mountain sensors which report temperature and snowfall every hour. All resorts covered by NWAC are included in this app already. There are other great apps (like the Bing Weather App) which provide you with more generic data about every resort in the world and give you weather stats that update once a day. Visit http://cascadeskier.com to find the app on other platforms and to see the CascadeSkier clothing line. Version 3.8.1 fixes a bug which would sometimes cause metric live tiles to revert to imperial. Version 3.8 adds support for Celsius and metric units and fixes a bug which would cause the app to crash if background tasks were disabled.
12/2/2013Amazing! Great quality app. I pinned Stevens Pass and it shows me WSDOT camera snaps on the live tile. Contains essential information about each resort and all needed links to make your trip a success. Again, great job!
11/20/2013Awesome! Bring on the snow
11/16/2013Great app for the pacific northwest boarder.
11/2/2013Not worth it, I have downloaded better apps that provide the same data for free
10/4/2013I like how this is specific to NW, BUT a lot of the trail map links don't work... I would offer an option to download the trail maps from a server or some other source.
9/29/2013Great app! I love the UI and all the resort info. I check conditions every day with it!
8/24/2013Need celcius, wind speeds and BC mountains. Otherwise a pretty cool app..
4/13/2013Great app. Covers all the basics in a clear, no ** kind of way. Great links to data as well.
4/7/2013Simple and quick for assessing ski conditions
