Finally...a way to create, organize, categorize and easily use a collection of Bookmarks/Favorites on the Windows Phone. With Bookmarks Manager, you have the ability to maintain a large list of Bookmarks all categorized in Folders and sub-Folders. But the most powerful and useful feature is the ability to import your Bookmark collection from you desktop browser via your SkyDrive account. If you own a Windows Phone, then you already have a SkyDrive account because it comes with your Windows Live membership. Bookmarks Manager has been tested to work with Bookmark HTML files generated by versions of IE, Chrome, Firefox, Opera and Safari. Here is a full list of features available in this release of Bookmarks Manager: • Add Bookmarks and Folders to your collection* • Open the Windows Phone Browser to any of your Bookmarks by simply tapping on it • Edit and Delete Bookmarks and Folders and any time • Move Bookmarks and Folders to other Folders in your collection quickly and easily • Search for Bookmarks • Easily navigate your large collection of Folders. With a simple tap of the Home button, for example, you are taken to the top of your Folder tree. • From your desktop or laptop browser, save your Bookmarks to an HTML file and upload the file to SkyDrive. Then, in Bookmarks Manager, instantly import them all into Windows Phone.* • Save your Bookmarks directly to a SkyDrive HTML file where you can download them and use them in most all desktop browsers • Customize the look of Bookmarks Manager by selecting your own background image • Very fast performance with all functions (including startup) • Bookmarks Manager remembers the last Folder you were viewing on each launch • A Users Guide Bookmark is included by default. This guide gives all the details of importing and exporting to/from SkyDrive. *Note: The TRIAL version of Bookmarks Manager limits you to 25 Bookmarks and Folders. The full paid version (only $0.99), removes this limitation.
10/17/2013Works great on windows 8. Just export your bookmarks to SkyDrive from your Home browser. Then import them to your windows 8 smartphone it is that simple. For those having problems doing that, I suggest reading the instructions that come with download. Only issue I would change is everything is alphabetically ordered now. But there are many was around that. Great AP and not having to scroll through favorites on the IE browser alone is worth the pocket change the AP cost for me.
9/10/2013Works great. Imported perfectly on WP8. Totally beyond me why MS doesn't provide this level of bookmark management, but thankfully we have this app.
9/10/2013Doesn't sync from my bookmark.html in my SkyDrive at all. Which was the ONLY reason I got this. Extremely disappointed.
7/23/2013Trying out the trial, receiving same error message as Tony. The bookmark file selected does not appear to be in the correct format. can't locate the root folder node (<DL>)
7/13/2013Suddenly appear this msg when import: the bookmark file selected does not appear to be in the correct format. can't locate the root folder node (<DL>)
5/29/2013The app lures you into purchasing because of the 25-bookmark import limit and then fails to lift the limit after buying the app. Only 20 bookmarks are being read from my html export file!
4/18/2013It work good .but can not bookmark from internet browser. So disapoint
3/25/2013It's not the prettiest UI but it does get the job done. Seriously ridiculous that a workaround like this is necessary but there you are.
2/22/2013Works as you would expect it to. Please get rid of the texture and make it more metro like.
1/21/2013This is some kinds of spyware! Author wants a bunch of permissions to access stuff not needed to read a bookmark file from your Skydrive. Why??? Besides, it would not import all my bookmarks, which were in the file, which makes it about useless. Copy you bookmarks to a OneNote and pin it to your Start. Same thing. I deleted it ASAP and am out a buck! I reported privacy concerns to Microsoft.
