Listen live or catch up on the past seven days with the BBC iPlayer Radio app. Whether you’re looking for music or speech radio on your mobile, the app lets you:
- Listen live to all BBC Radio stations;
- Catch up on hundreds of on-demand programmes;
- Browse features, video and audio clips, including live music performances;
- Enjoy great audio quality over Wi-Fi, 4G and 3G.

Already got the app? Here’s why you need to upgrade:

The previous version of the BBC iPlayer Radio app was running on old technology. We’ve now switched to new technology, so you need to upgrade the app to work with the new system.
Streaming radio uses lots of data, so it’s best to listen over Wi-Fi where possible. The BBC doesn’t charge for using the iPlayer Radio app, but your mobile operator may charge for using the internet over their network. These charges are likely to be higher when roaming outside the UK.

    Disappointing. No login, crashes every programme. Using tune in instead.

    There has been no effort by the BBC to build a proper Windows Phone app, this is just the mobile website underneath. The extra overhead degrades performance. Poor.

    Pressing back to exit the app doesn't work. Main pages are in portrait mode but the radio feed page is forced to landscape mode. After a certain time the playback becomes a stuttering, un-listenable mess no matter if you retain a constant strong signal. Poor implementation that is bettered by several free alternative apps.
