*** NEW in version 1.5 *** Automatically synchronize your videos to OneDrive (first 3 recordings for free, unlimited uploads can be purchased in app) *** AWARDS: Runner-up in the Nokia Create Master Competition 2014 *** Auto Witness allows you to save all traffic incidents during your journeys directly on your phone. The application automatically records everything but you choose what to save by simply tapping the screen while you drive. Key features: - NEW: Automatically synchronize your videos to OneDrive - first 3 videos for free, unlimited uploads can be purchased in app (NOTE: Due to a OneDrive upload limit, files larger than 100 MB can't be uploaded right now, we're working on providing an alternate solution) - Loop video recording (saving space on your device) with or without sound - Automatically saving if rapid acceleration or deceleration is detected - with presets for accelerometer sensitivity - One-tap video saving of the current recording - User-defined length of the recording - User-defined video resolutions supported by your device (high resolutions - 720p, 1080p - included)
10/18/2014Lacks GPS and speed information. Needs to work while in the background. OneDrive removed the file size limit a while ago.
10/1/2014Simple and works. Would be better if the g-shock sensor could be set lower (or turned off) and if you could set a maximum storage amount for videos with an auto-loop feature.
8/26/2014Good video and stability. Lacks gps information... Must work in background mode, screen should be off while recording. And pro version should also support "export" as well as sync.
7/15/2014This refers to the free version. Pros: Video quality is excellent. Options for before and after event capture are good. Cons: The videos are hidden in the phone. If you want to see them you must view through the app. You can sync to OneDrive but the free version only supports 3 uploads. At high sensitivity a pothole will start the recording process. And it eats battery so a car charger is a must. Overall: Good effort but a dedicated device would be better. I used it on my Lumia 1520 which exposed another downside - the phone is too big for a windshield mount!
7/11/2014Force closes everytime I back out of settings menu. I logged into OneDrive with it, then the next time I used it I was logged out. Also hate that the screen can't be off while using it (this is probably M$ fault, honestly). How anyone can be alright with leaving their phones screen on, in the sun, with an unreliable app is beyond me.
7/9/2014Video is upside down. L520 WP8.1
7/5/2014Almost perfect, but PLEASE add an export feature!
5/25/2014Tried to install on windows 8, store says its installed but not in app menu
