12/19/2013Crashes 9/10 of the time
12/15/2013This could be a great app, however there are a couple of things that need to be improved in order to fulfill the needs of the scientific community: A. All h factors seem to be wrong B. The search function is weaker than Google scholar, returns less results on the same topic C. An integration like isi-web of science offers, would be great. D. One does not find all papers of an author, which is very annoying. E. H index is wrong Otherwise its a great idea, both the app and the webpage. I would love to see it succeeded and kick scholars *** ;)
9/11/2013Crashes on launch. Used to work.
8/30/2013This app has a ton of potential to be amazing. It currently allows you to search for publications (and has nice filtering options by discipline), tag certain authors as favorites (somewhat akin to 'following' them), see upcoming call for papers, etc. Its flaws are 1) it needs to recognize which authors are duplicates and combine them into one profile (it seems that when professors change universities, this app views their careers as separate individuals), 2) there are a ton of missing authors and publications so the results returned feel very incomplete. With those two things improved, this could be a killer application for academics, researchers, or the general public interested in scientific research. This app has the potential to be a really unique niche, 'academic social networking app' where researchers could edit their profiles (keeping it up to date on new publications or job changes, which can be done online, but not in this app), 'follow' their peers to see their newest research publications, etc.
4/30/2013Great app keep improve more inline sourcing and leave links around for the browser!
4/21/2013Good content in this app, but the UI is kinda slow. Please take time fix this issue. Thank you.
