Favorites in the Pictures Hub
Some snapshots are so great you just can't get enough of them. That's what favorites are for: choose some (it takes just a couple of taps), and they'll show up in their own area of the Pictures Hub. You can set your favorites to display on the animated Pictures Tile on Start, or pin them there for one-tap access.
A selection of your favorites shows up in the Favorites mosaic in Pictures.
To add a picture to Favorites

On Start, tap Pictures.

In Pictures, find a picture and tap to open it.

Do one of the following:
- If the picture is already saved on your phone, tap More
, and then tap Add to favorites. - If the picture is in an online album, tap More, and then tap Save to phone. Go to Albums > Saved Pictures and open the picture, and then tap More > Add to favorites.
- If the picture is already saved on your phone, tap More
To personalize your phone using your favorites
You can set your phone to display a selection of your favorites on the animated Pictures Tile on Start and in the background on the Pictures Hub. Each time you open the Hub, you'll see a new selection in both places.

On Start, tap Pictures.

Tap More
, and then tap Shuffle background.
To pin your favorites to Start

On Start, tap Pictures.

Flick left or right to Favorites, and then tap See all.

Tap More
, and then tap Pin to start.
Tips
- You can pin other Pictures albums to Start, too—even online albums. Go to Pictures > Albums, tap and hold the album you want to pin, and then tap Pin to Start.
