Blood Sprint was created from the award winning "Red Heart" idea which came out of Nokia's 'Apps for Change' challenge in their idea crowdsourcing service, IdeasProject.  Viafo Inc brought the idea of Red Heart to life and created Blood Sprint.

Managing Blood Resources and donations is a massive undertaking for healthcare providers and organizations globally. In order to meet the demand for blood in a metropolitan area like Seattle, the local Blood Services need to have about 250,000 registered donors and more than a 1000 people donating Blood each and every week.
