The award-winning tile-based board game by Klaus-Jürgen Wrede is finally available for your Windows Phone!

Just a few years after its release, Carcassonne became a modern classic and a must-play. Turn by turn, the players create a landscape by placing tiles with roads, cities, fields, and cloisters. Deploy your followers - knights, monks, thieves, or farmers - and try to score the most points to win the game. The ever-changing landscape makes each game a new experience. With the official expansion "The River II", Online Multiplayer, Xbox LIVE Achievements and Leaderboards, this is an essential title for board game enthusiasts.

Two things make this app a one instead of a four or five. First, the rules are not exactly the same as the board game. That would drop it a star for me. The worst thing is that at least once or twice a game when I play against the computer the app will double click when I tap a piece, depriving me of a play and points. That coupled with minor rules differences make it a one. I hope they fix at least the double click issue. That would make it a three or four.

Good game, pity I cannot find human players as the AI can become predicable

Keeps crashing when doing the scores at the end

Great version of the boardgame. Only complaint is occassionally it will register a single tap as two causing you to miss out on placing a follower. This is quite annoying so deducted one star.
