Plex for Windows Phone brings the power of Plex to your mobile device. With Plex, you can stream your music, videos and photos from your home computers running Plex Media Server (available from http://www.plexapp.com/getplex/) and access content from a wide range of channels. Channels are available for iTunes, and for online services like YouTube, Vimeo and Revision3. There's also a remote control feature for Plex Media Center.

Additionally, you can sign up for the myPlex service, which lets you connect to servers shared with you by your friends, queue videos from your web browser to watch later, and connect to your Plex Media Server at home wherever you are in the world via Wi-Fi or a cellular connection, with no configuration necessary!

Plex Media Server streams your media directly from your computer, so there's no need to convert before viewing. Plex is smart, too - if your media isn't already in a format your device can play, it'll convert it on-the-fly.

The trial version limits video playback to 30 seconds, but otherwise is fully functional.

Limitations:
• DRM-protected content is not supported.
• ISO images are not supported.
• VIDEO_TS folders are not supported.
• PGS subtitles are not supported.
• Audio formats Windows Phone can't play natively (e.g. FLAC) are not supported.

Server Requirements:
• A PC running Windows XP SP3 or later (Windows Vista or Windows 7 recommended), a Mac running OS X 10.6 or later, or an Intel machine running Linux.
• In order to transcode to 480p, you need at least a 2.2GHz Core 2 Duo processor.

    Really great app works well. It would be nice to get an WP8 update.

    I use plex on a few devices and they do work well. I bought it for WP8 and it seems to be a bit rushed out, the video doesn't fit the screen (Samsung AITV S) and the quality of the video isn't very good on either wifi or 3/4g. It also decided to stop connecting to my server for no apparent reason, the only way to fix was to reinstall. I'm sure these issues will be fixed but as of now, Plex for WP8 doesn't live up to the other device releases and needs more work.

    This is a superb app. It just works - and oh so well. Nothing to beat it that I know about. However it needs updating.

    subtitles & ability to send play to win8 UI app would turn a 4 into a 5. price seems fair for a feature rich app.

    Functions but streaming video is jerky. Isn't jerky on non WP devices.
