Office Lens trims, enhances and makes pictures of whiteboards and docs readable, and saves them to OneNote. You can use Office Lens to convert images to Word and PowerPoint files too.

Office Lens is like having a scanner in your pocket. Like magic, it will digitalize notes on whiteboards or blackboards. Always find important documents or business cards. Sketch your ideas and snap a picture for later. Don't lose receipts or stray sticky notes again!

What's new:
- Your pictures can be converted to Word or PowerPoint files and saved to OneDrive.
- For Word files, the document layout is preserved and the text in your picture is converted into editable text.
- For PowerPoint files, handwritten strokes are transformed into drawing objects that can be recolored and edited. You can also remove the background of drawings.
- Bug fixes: Now Office Lens is more stable

Scenarios:
- Capture and crop a picture of a whiteboard or blackboard and share your meeting notes with co-workers.
- Make digital copies of your printed documents, business cards or posters and trim them precisely.
- Printed text will be automatically recognized (using OCR) so you can search for words in images and copy and edit them.
- Skip the photo copier and take pictures of menus, shopping lists, or children's sketches so you never have to worry about forgetting or misplacing them.

Features:
- With Whiteboard mode, Office Lens trims and cleans up glare and shadows.
- With Document mode, Office Lens trims and colors images perfectly.
- Pictures are saved to your camera roll and also directly into OneNote, so you can see the images across all your devices.
- Choose to convert images to Word (.docx) or PowerPoint (.pptx) files that are automatically saved to OneDrive.

Note:
Office Lens requires logging in with your Microsoft Account.
Your Microsoft Account must be same as the one registered on your device.

Staggeringly good. I was using HandyScan, which is decent, but this app is fantastic. It makes capturing receipts, doc, whiteboards effortless; fun even!

No longer loses images but sometimes mangles them, still to be fair very handy - not just a toy for beta testers anymore. Would be clever if it were possible *not* to save the raw image when taking from Office Lens, would save trawling through camera roll to delete the photos that otherwise turn into the dullest screensaver slideshow you've ever seen in your life...

Jak zwykle jest kilka niedociągnięć ale do przełknięcia.

A lot better now that you can specify a OneNote section or notebook from within the app itself

Great app for capturing whiteboards, documents, etc. I wish I had this while at Uni as it would have saved me frantically writing notes. I would like to see if this could be extended so that I could edit the scanned document.
