To use this first direct Banking on the go app you need to be a first direct customer and registered for first direct Internet Banking. We know that you like to manage your money when you're "on the go". That's why we've created this app. It allows you to see and use some of your Internet Banking services more easily on a smaller screen. Our app allows you to: • view balances and up to your last 90 transactions • make transfers between your accounts with us • make payments to a person or organisation you have paid before using Internet Banking At the moment, we are unable to offer our recently launched Digital Secure Key with this app. You can access the app with your first direct Internet Banking logon details. You'll still need to log on to full Internet Banking at firstdirect.com regularly to access all services. We recommend you do this at least every 14 days. Some of the Internet Banking services that you can only access by logging on at firstdirect.com are: • full statement information • details of monthly charges, fees and interest • sending, receiving and viewing secure messages • setting up payments to a person or organisation you haven't paid before • cancelling or amending a payment you have set up We don't charge you for this app, but we can't say the same for your network provider, who may charge you for downloading and using the app. You'll be responsible for these charges. We recommend that you don't use this app abroad, but if you do, you'll need to make sure that it's permitted by local law, and remember your network provider's charges may be higher. The app may be withdrawn at any time; we will tell you if this is going to happen. • Bug fixes If our app helps you to manage your finances, please post a review to let other customers know. Thank you.
23/11/2014Disappointing for an internet and phone banking company that you can't even generate a secure code using the app.
23/11/2014I really want the app so I can use the phone for the digital key and this is not available on Windows phone
21/11/2014Ok it works for me. But... When I installed it hung during an app update. I had to pull the battery, but it completed the update when I restarted. I don't miss the key login as the standard password allows me to pay my bills and transfer money to my daughters. Good enough, but I still call them for more important stuff. But FD please note I have been a customer since 1990 because you were the first for telephone banking but your support of WP is dire. Don't ignore it just because its ecosystem is behind apple and android. I will move on if I need to.
20/11/2014Completely useless. Crashes all the time and unable to make payments.. Just about to uninstall it.
18/11/2014Log in twice every time????????
10/11/2014I can login I guess but AWFUL design and missing loads of functionality. It is basically a useful way to check my balance and that is it. Sometimes I wonder where these companies hire their developers from, it is so amateurish.
05/11/2014Always have to log in twice? Does not appear to register user logging out from previous visit? Apart from that I like it.
30/10/2014No good on a Windows. Phone can't even get it to open it try's to up date but wont complete
26/10/2014Not great unfortunately. Fine for checking balances but I'm consistently unable to make any payment transfers (unable to connect to our servers error message). The UI is unfortunately not fantastic either. A missed opportunity I feel. As an internet/phone bank I feel First Direct need to improve the experience of this app.
23/10/2014This app should be a lot better and is just a rehash of the iOS one, which means it's bland and dated. Come on FD, it can't be beyond your IT team to develop a better WP app than this! Update: for some reason nearly every time I log in it tells me that my last session was timed out so I have to log in twice. I definitely logged out correctly previously. Proves that the testing strategy for this poor application was as bad as all the other aspects of its development.
