FireReady is the official Country Fire Authority (CFA) app for bushfire information in Victoria. Download to assess your own FireReady status and to remain aware of incidents around you in real-time.

This comprehensive application puts CFA and Department of Sustainability & Environment (DSE) bushfire information at your fingertips, enabling access to up-to-date bushfire warnings and advice when you're out and about.

As the only official CFA app, you can be sure all incidents and warnings are provided with the same consistency as the CFA website located at cfa.vic.gov.au

Main Features:
• Live incident map showing all current CFA and DSE planned burns, incidents and warnings issued for Victoria

• Push notifications to push out incidents and planned burns to a user's phone when a new CFA or DSE incident or planned burn is received by the app and when the incident is within a 'FireWatch' zone (radius), set up by the user

• Image capture enabling sharing of geocoded photos by a user. Shared photos will immediately be made publicly available

• Integration of Department of Sustainability & Environment (DSE) planned burns

• GPS integration to determine your current location and surrounding incidents

• Emergency Warnings, Watch and Act, and Advice information as issued by the CFA and DSE

• Share incidents and warnings with friends and family

    Current incidents completely broken. tried to report concern. But the email address wasnt valid. Very poor.

    Nothing to worry about, CFA, there are no fires near me. In fact there are none anywhere. Lucky I checked before I headed off camping. How come fixing this isn't a priority? You're even still advertising it. I find it ironic that it is named fireready!

    Nothing shows in the map. Pity because it works fine with android/iphone. WP 7.5

    This app is a disgrace, this is the best you can do CFA, really? It is also very dangerous as it doesn't provide important incident information to saves lives!!!

    Useless on WP8 does not show current fires on the map or notifications. Told the CFA and got a head in the sand response.

    Slow and buggy. Cannot understand why the sleek Metro UI was not used, this app looks like a third rate iPhone clone. I do like the ability to send photos of what you can see, although I haven't tested this feature. This app needs to work and sadly doesn't.
