Personalize my phone with my photos
Some snapshots are so great you just can't get enough of them. That's what favorites are for—choose some (it takes just a couple of taps), and they'll show up in their own area of the Photos Hub. You can set your favorites to display on the animated Photos Tile on Start, or pin them there for one-tap access.
Your favorites in the Photos Hub
To add a picture to Favorites

On Start
, tap Photos

Find a picture and tap to open it.

Do one of the following:
- If the picture is already saved on your phone, tap More
, and then tap Add to favorites. - If the picture is in an online album, tap More , and then tap Save to phone. Go to Albums > Saved Pictures, open the picture, and then tap More > Add to favorites.
- If the picture is already saved on your phone, tap More
To personalize your phone using your favorites
You can set your phone to display a selection of your favorites on the animated Photos Tile on Start and in the background on the Photos Hub. Each time you open the Hub, you'll see a new selection in both places.

, tap Photos . -
Tap More
, and then tap Shuffle background.
To pin your favorites to Start

On Start
, tap Photos . -
Flick left or right to Favorites, and then tap See all.

, and then tap Pin to start.
Tips

You can pin other albums to Start, too—even online albums. Go to
Photos > Albums, tap and hold the album you
want to pin, and then tap Pin to start.

Want to use a picture as the background on the lock screen? Find
and open the one you want, Tap More , and then tap Set as lock screen.
