Earthquake uses USGS data and is refreshed approximately every fifteen minutes. The map is completely updated at midnight GMT. Use the refresh button to update the map. Note, however, that the map only changes if an earthquake has taken place since the last refresh. The earthquake symbols are as follows: Blue, less than 3 magnitude Yellow, 3.1 to 4.9 magnitude Red, 5 and greater magnitude The white circle is the most recent earthquake. The symbol targets are small, so take care to tap as accurately as you can. When the symbol is tapped, details will be displayed using Bing Maps. You can change between satellite and map views. Zoom in and out of the map for more or less detail.
