What’s new in version 5.2: • Join a meeting even if you don’t have a Lync account • View more information about meeting participants • Support for certification and passive authentication • Pin a contact to your home screen for quick communication • Easily start a conversation with a group • Microsoft Customer Experience Improvement Program support Anyone can use the Lync Mobile app when invited to a Lync 2013 meeting. However, you must have a Lync account in order to use (and enjoy) the full capability of the Lync Mobile app. Also, some functionality might require an update to Lync Server or might not be available to all users. If you’re not sure about your account status, please contact your IT department. Lync 2013 for Windows Phone extends the power of Lync to your mobile device – including voice & video over wireless, rich presence, instant messaging, conferencing, and calling features from a single, easy-to-use interface. IMPORTANT: THIS SOFTWARE REQUIRES CONNECTIVITY TO VALIDLY LICENSED COPIES OF MICROSOFT LYNC SERVER OR OFFICE 365 / LYNC ONLINE AND WILL NOT WORK WITHOUT IT. UPDATES TO MICROSOFT LYNC SERVER MAY BE REQUIRED FOR PROPER PERFORMANCE. SOME FUNCTIONALITY MAY NOT BE AVAILABLE IN ALL COUNTRIES. IF YOU ARE UNSURE ABOUT YOUR COMPANY’S LICENSE TO AND/OR DEPLOYMENT OF LYNC, PLEASE CONTACT YOUR IT DEPARTMENT.
07/11/2013Does not work
03/11/2013Great app, works really well! Its so nice not having to give out my mobile number to anyone now. There are a few bugs on my Lumia 920. Sometime Lync wont open, i have to reboot my phone to get it working. I also think it causes problems with Win8Phone built in Facebook chat - ive had to uninstall Lync to get chat working again
01/11/2013Cant even log in, keeps asking me to check my network connection but that's working fine
15/09/2013Still waiting for bug fixes in this app. Identified and confirmed by Msoft yet progress to deliver fully functional product very slow. Doesn't keep users presence correct. Appear offline when push messages wake up the presence (offline - away xHrs).
15/09/2013Was gonna use this for work. But it wont sign in. Pointless!
05/09/2013Excellent improvement. Callback to Mobile may need some work
07/08/2013Doesn't work with Lync server 2010. Btw the desktop version does. Lync 2010 app doesn't do online meetings on WP8. We have two apps but no use...
24/07/2013Great improvements over 2010 version. The experience is so much closer to W8 'modern' app and the full client. Smoother connection. My one issue - Lobby attendees cant be admitted from this client.
24/07/2013Please Please Please Please enable the option for users to swipe down from the top of screen to see connectivity status. Given the dependency this app has on connectivity its ridiculous that i have to leave the app in order to check i am connected to 3/4G or WiFi. Simple request, missed in the 2010 app and again now yet basic apps from independent developers offer it. Listen to your users as i know this has been requested time and time again
